Matthew Hayden is an associate at Schwartz Goldstone Campisi & Kates, LLP, where he represents plaintiffs in personal injury matters in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hayden practiced at a national defense firm, where he handled litigation in state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions. His experience on the defense side gives him a direct understanding of how insurers and corporate defendants evaluate, prepare, and try cases, an advantage he now uses on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Hayden earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2020, where he was selected for a competitive trial advocacy program in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Temple University in 2015.
Mr. Hayden handles cases at every stage of litigation, from intake and investigation through discovery, motion practice, and trial. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, the New Jersey State Bar, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Mr. Hayden has cultivated deep roots in his community through leadership positions in civic and community organizations, including his role as General Counsel of a national civic organization. He takes a people-first approach to his practice, prioritizing direct communication with his clients and attention to the individual circumstances of every case.
