Born and raised in New York, David attended New York University where he majored in Political Science earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992. From there, Mr. Kates went on to New York Law School where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1995. Mr. Kates is a former associate of the Law Office of Vincent P. Crisci where he represented insurance companies on general liability, construction accidents and lead paint cases as a Senior Trial Attorney. Mr. Kates successfully tried numerous high value cases to verdict. As a plaintiff's attorney, Mr. Kates has concentrated on complex medical malpractice and general liability cases. Many of his cases have involved brain injury, spine injuries and disorders of the nervous system. Mr. Kates' exceptional trial skills are evident by the many seven figure results he has obtained on behalf of his clients.
